We've decided to hold our second skull art contest dead in the middle of the long hot summer
The contest folder is up, and open for submissions! Judging will take place sometime on Friday, 20 July, 2012, to give you plenty of time to get your work lined up for the event. You may submit your deviations to the contest until 12 Midnight (Central Standard Time) on 20 July, 2012.
Entries do *NOT* have to have a summer theme, we just want you to create your best work EVER!
Entrants may submit up to THREE separate deviations to the contest!!
THE PRIZES ARE FIRST PLACE: 500 deviantART USER POINTS
SECOND PLACE: 400 deviantART USER POINTS
THIRD PLACE: 300 deviantART USER POINTS
No Zombie artwork in this one (sorry), and you must be a member of the SKULL ARTISTS Group by no later than 10 July, 2012.
*The contest judges will be group founders of several of our affiliate groups*

First, I'd like to thank all of the contest judges. These people spent hours making decisions and choices, and they all worked so hard on this contest... I owe them like you wouldn't believe.
The judges were Group Founders and Contributors from some of our affiliate groups. I have to tell you, each and every judge remarked to me that these decisions were incredibly tough for them to make, because there were so many submissions, and all of them were so outstanding. They were all so impressed with your work!

We have several judges, all are owners or contributors from some of our affiliate groups, and they've begun viewing the MIDSUMMER SKULL ART CONTEST submissions.
The judges have all day today, (Friday) to make their selections, and as soon as all their decisions are in, the winners' names, and the names of their winning submissions, will be posted here.
After that, we will start contacting the winners privately to deliver their points prizes.

DA TECH ISSUES MOVE CONTEST FINAL TO AUGUST 10TH!!
Well, blame it on Mercury Retrograde, or ghosts of skull artists past, but we have serious group technical problems, and I am seeing this on all three groups I admin...
For the past three days, we have had submissions coming in that WE CANNOT VIEW! Our notices show that there are new submissions, but when we attempt to view them, we see nothing but blank pages... and sadly, none of us are particularly psychic.
We see that there are submissions, but regardless of what browser we use, we cannot view all the submissions. Please note that we can see *some* of the submissions, and approve them, but we can't access all of th

Okay friends, you have ONE DAY LEFT to submit your deviations to the MIDSUMMER SKULL ART CONTEST!!

So...are there any other requirements beyond the no zombies thing? Like media that are off-limits, whether other items are allowed in the piece besides skulls, things like that? The rules of the contest are just a little vague, but I'd love to enter.
